Our power division has partnered with agencies ahead of time, so that when a storm or other natural disaster strikes, we’re ready to act on a moment’s notice.

PMCG, LLC believes in utilizing localized subcontractors with electrical teams (Mechanical Supervisors, Electrical Supervisors, Safety Managers, and Yard Supervisors) to install and connect generators after disasters. For storm installations, we utilize temporary generators for hospitals, pump stations, emergency operations centers, nursing homes etc.

When we receive the call we then have 21 hours to be on-site.

We are enlisting prospective employees on a national basis for the following positions:

Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for an extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated, honest, and hardworking individual.

We’re looking for Preventive Maintenance Mechanics who can fulfil the following tasks:

– Perform preventive maintenance on generators and automatic transfer switches

– Troubleshoot problems with generators and automatic transfer switches.

– Diagnose problems using a laptop. Perform repairs to generators and automatic transfer switches.

– Perform start-ups on new equipment.

– Process required paperwork in a timely manner.

– Responsible for communicating repairs needed to both the customer and service manager.

– Responsible for parts inventory on service truck.

– Responsible for tracking time and expenses each day.

– Responsible for cleaning up after themselves.

– Willing to participate in the rotating responsibility of a 24/7 on-call-technician.

Requirements:

– Good organizational skills.
– Able to work well unsupervised.
– Attention to detail.
– Excellent customer relation skills.
– Self motivated.
– Good mechanical/electrical aptitude.
– Able to comprehend and trouble shoot from wiring schematics.
– Knowledge in A/C and D/C electrical Knowledge on the basic workings of a diesel engine.
– Trade school education in standby power systems preferred.
– Experience working with power generator equipment for a minimum of two year preferred.

Certified Forklift Operators

We are enlisting contractors on a national basis for the coming storm season.

We’re looking for Certified Forklift Operators who can fulfil the following tasks:

– Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck.

– Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.

– Having a good sense of balance.

– Having good eye-hand-foot coordination.

– Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.

– Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.

Requirements:

– High School diploma or equivalent.

– Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills.

– High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.

– Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.

– Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.

– Maintain a clean & safe environment.

– Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.

– Forklift certification per OSHA standards.

Power Plant Operator

We’re looking for Power Plant Operators capable of operating and controlling power plant production processes.

Requirements:

– Knowledge and ability to adjust controls to generate specified electrical power and/or to regulate the flow of power between power generating station and line-end destination.

– Control and maintain auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, feed-water heaters/coolers, filters, to supply water, fuel, lubricants, air, and auxiliary power.

– Control generator output to match the phase, frequency, and voltage of electricity supplied to switchgear.

– Monitor and inspect power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems.

– Operate or control power generating equipment including diesel engines, generators, and medium-voltage switchgear, using control boards or semi-automatic equipment.

– Place standby emergency electrical generators on line in emergencies and monitor the temperature, output, and lubrication of the system.

– Start or stop generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, engines, and other power plant equipment, and connect or disconnect equipment from circuits.

– Take readings from meters and gauges at established intervals, establish base-line operational records for assigned shift.

– Inspect records and log book entries, and communicate with other plant personnel, in order to assess equipment operating status.

– Receive outage calls and call in necessary personnel during power outages and emergencies.

– Record and compile operational data, completing and maintaining forms, logs, and reports.

– Experience in power plant/industrial maintenance operations.

– Knowledge of all applicable safe working practices for power plant/industrial operations.
